Hi, my name is Zach, and I’m raising funds because I urgently need help securing stable housing for myself and my daughter.

This is extremely hard for me to share, but I’m choosing to be honest because my daughter deserves a safe home, and I can’t do this alone.

Since 2020, I have been living out of my car. I’ve kept it quiet for years because I’ve been embarrassed and didn’t want anyone to know how difficult life has become. But I’m at a point where staying silent is no longer an option — especially now that my ability to reunite with my daughter depends on housing.

DCS currently has custody of my daughter, and they have made it clear they will not return her to me unless I can provide adequate, stable housing. I am working hard to meet every requirement and do everything asked of me. The biggest barrier standing in the way is simply the upfront cost of moving into an apartment.

I work, but I’m stuck in a situation many people don’t realize exists: I make too much to qualify for assistance, but I don’t make enough to afford the move-in costs on my own — especially while trying to survive without stable housing.

Most places require application fees, deposits, and first/last month’s rent, and those costs add up fast.

Funds raised will be used for:

Rental application fees

Security deposit

First month’s rent

Last month’s rent (if required)

Utility deposits / connection fees

Basic household items needed for my daughter (beds, bedding, hygiene items, cleaning supplies, etc.)

Transportation costs for visitation and DCS requirements

I’m not asking for luxury — I’m asking for a chance to provide my daughter with the stability and safety she deserves. A home is the final step needed so I can meet DCS requirements and bring my daughter back to me.
