Please pray for Zach. Zach Brown and his family are facing an unimaginable road. Zach is critically ill at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston following an accidental paraquat exposure. He is currently on ECMO and being evaluated for a possible lung transplant, while his family remains by his side hundreds of miles from home.
The Brown family is known for actively serving others in their community. Zach’s mom, Sharla, is a teacher at Lake Cormorant Middle School. His dad, Casey, serves the community as a firefighter for Tunica County. His brother serves our country in the United States Air Force and has been sent to be by the family’s side, and his sisters, Hannah and Amber, are there with them as well. Zach has also been part of our football community, and those who know him through the game want to come together and do something for him and his family during this difficult time.
Now it’s our turn to show up for them. As Sharla and Casey remain by Zach’s side, they are facing the added expenses of living away from home while still caring for their family and maintaining life back home. We hope to ease some of that burden so their focus can remain where it belongs—on Zach.
Most importantly, please pray. The Brown family has a deep faith in God and believes wholeheartedly in the power of prayer. Pray for a miracle. Pray for healing. Pray for wisdom for his medical team and strength for his family. Above all, pray with them, knowing that Zach is in God’s hands.
If you can give, please give. If you can share, please share. And most of all, please continue to pray.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
