Support Zabihullah Z's Brave Journey to America
Donation protected
Our Initial Goal: $9,000
Purpose: Support the ReLocation of Former AFGHAN Interpreter, Zabih, his wife and six children (ages 2 to 13 years of age).
Needs: Car, Food, Housing, Clothing and Daily Essentials
Background:
Zabihullah served as a linguist for American/Coalition Forces for over 5 years. I, Corinne Davis, served as a healthcare advisor to the Afghan Military Medical Command for almost 3 years and Zabih was assigned as my primary interpreter. Interpreters are linchpins for conveying our message accurately and often ensuring our security. Zabih placed himself and his family under the scrutiny of Taliban forces, who frequently warned him of harm if he kept working for the coalition.
Zabih and I worked with the US Embassy in Kabul to gain his US Special Immigrant Visa for over 2 years without receiving final approval before the fall of Afghanistan in 2021. Thankfully, Zabih applied through the British Embassy, and received clearance to depart for England just 3 days prior to US/Coalition exodus in August 2021.
After living in temporary shelter in England with little support from family or friends, Zabih received his long awaited visa to the USA arriving in early June 2024. Zabih and his family chose to start their American life in Maryland where they are currently living in his relative's basement.
Zabih is searching for employment and is listed in LinkedIN. His primary goal is healthcare project management; however, is open to translation and health insurance sales.
Zabih applied for assistance from International Relief agencies, but received none to this day.
Zabih needs our help!
