Support Z: Help a Friend and Creative Artist in Need

We are privately raising funds for our friend ZLB, organized by her dear friends.

Z, a film director from Southeast Louisiana, moved to Los Angeles a year ago and has been welcomed to the film and cultural community with open arms but has struggled as the industry shifts post-strikes. Z is a compassionate artist and friend who reminds us all of artistry’s true purpose: to illuminate new truths and connects us all to a higher purpose.

We, as the friends of Z, are organizing this GoFundMe to give our dear friend sustaining funds as bills pile up when freelance artist income is delayed temporarily or indefinitely through industry changes. This fundraiser is being done because we know the heart of an artist who’s in transition and on the brink of *making it* and how support can keep that dream from dying. This GoFundMe is a tool of public accountability that will allow the friends, family, and loved ones who donate to track how our loved one receives funds. The goal of $2,500 is a modest one but will allow Z is to get back on her feet and establish a solid foundation for the months and years to come.
