Hi! My name is Zadiel Franco, some people call me Z for short, and for the past month and a half, I’ve been battling stage 3 testicular cancer. Before my tragic diagnosis, I spent a lot of my time in college studying nursing, working both as a lifeguard and EMT in medical transport, as well as serving the community of Bay Shore, NY as a volunteer EMT for Bay Shore-Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance. All my life I’ve had a passion to help others in any way, big or small. It has always come naturally to me; whether it be family, friends, coworkers, or even strangers, I would always do my absolute best to be there. Recently, that passion has been taken from me, and I’ve been thrown into a nightmare I would have never imagined.

Now, I ask for your help getting my family and me through these difficult times. My mom stopped working to take care of me full-time. We are currently struggling financially with our rent, medical bills, and other personal bills and expenses. We hope that with your generosity, our financial burdens may ease as I continue chemotherapy to beat cancer! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.
