My name is Yvette, those of you who know me know that I have dedicated my entire life to caring for newborn babies and also caring for newborn parents. That is all I ever wanted to do in my life but 2025 and 2026 have been tough years for me.
November 13, I had an almost 13 hours operation to remove a tumor from my spine. I was told by the surgeon that he believes he removed 99.9% of the tumor. I was in NYU hospital for 2 weeks then transferred to Amsterdam Nursing Home and Rehab Center where I lived for 3 months. This being a 3 months stay facility and the fact that after the 3 months I still need a lot of theraphy because my right side was not functioning as it should. (Lot of nerve damage and excruciating pain) I am still not able to move my right foot without assistance.
After the 3 months at Amsterdam, I was sent to Brooklyn to a long term Assisted Living/Rehab Center where I am currently at but after being here for 3 days, I suffered a mild heart attack and was admitted to Flushing Hospital in Queens. I spent 5 days in the Coronary Center Unit, then graduated to a regular room. Was in that hospital a total of 13 days then brought back to the Brooklun Assisted Living. Here, they only do Physical Theraphy 2 sometimes 3 times a week and I need much more. I am unable to walk without a walker and I am hunched so daily theraphy is what I need so I can get back to normal or as close to it as possible. Prayers also help!
It has been extremely stressful, overwhelming and a sad ordeal not having any family in this country. For this reason I need help. I would like to go to Panama to do full professional physical theraphy and also natural theraphy
However, round trip direct flight COPA ticket to Panama is quite expensive, especially with the price of oil/petro spiking so high because if the Iran situation.
Th Assisting Living Home has given me 6 weeks to go, but I need help with the ticket and getting to the airport, baggage etc. So, I am reaching out to you hoping that you could help me out if at all possible.
I believe that $1,500 + will help. Whatever you can donate would be greatly appreciated. I would like to leave around April 7th, after Easter, 2026. Thanks in advance.
