Three months ago, Yulia and Maxcim got married in Ukraine. They lived in Kyiv.
Even with the war going on, they were hopeful and excited to start their life together.
To support them, Maxcim bought a small car to drive for Uber and save for their first apartment.
But last week, he suddenly got sick and passed away.
He was only 21 years old.
The family has already covered his hospital and funeral costs. But after selling the car, Yulia is left with about $3,000 in debt.
Because of the war and the economy in Ukraine, that’s an amount that could take her years to repay. As well, if Yulia wants to get away from the war and restart, she will need funds to do so.
This family has been through so much:
• Maxcim’s mom passed away in 2020
• His dad was seriously injured while fighting in the war
• Other relatives are still living in dangerous conditions, often without power
We’re raising money to help clear Yulia’s debt and give her a small fresh start. My connection to Maxcim is that his sibling married into my family. That sibling was able to go over for the funeral, and I will be giving all the funds to her to give directly to Yulia.
Please leave any encouraging words when you donate. I am sure any comfort you can offer will help with the healing process.
We have about a week to send the funds safely.
Any amount you can give will make a real difference.
Thank you for helping this young widow rebuild her life and find hope again
