Support YRUMAD Youths: Martial Arts Competition

We are YRUMAD (Youth Respects Universal Martial Arts Discipline). We are located and serve the underserved youth in the community. Our program was created in 1978 to help and encourage our youths to reach higher levels and achievements through respect, discipline, commitment, and higher learning.

We are a Martial Art Organization working with the underserved youths in our community, teaching not only how to become a Martial Artist, but also how to use their fundamental skills of respect and discipline, health, body, mind, and other skills to maneuver through their daily lives. Through our program, we build self-esteem and confidence for the youths.

We strive to serve the community through our program by giving our youth a safe place to reinforce life values, a safe place to go and work out physically, which aids in better life choices, clearer thinking, handling situations in positive ways, and much more.

Some of our students have gone on with Black Belts, opening their own dojos. They have become professional athletes, doctors, lawyers, actors, and many other respected professions.

We see a constant need to work with our youths, saving one child at a time. With that, we ourselves need to be ever-changing and progressive in keeping our youths interested in activities like these so that they don't get bored and leave the programs, possibly getting in the wrong environment and changing the course of their life forever.

We are creating this fundraiser for our YOUTHS to take them to competition in October. At YRUMAD, we train and learn hard. But, we need to be able to show these students what they can achieve as a Martial Artist. We need to be able to show them a bigger picture. Our budget is limited in how many youths we can finance for this. Our hope is to take as many students with an interest to go. We need transportation, competition fees, uniforms (for those in need), staff, and any other expenses related to the competition.

We ask thankfully for donations to help us help our youths. This is a lifelong commitment to me personally. I have been in the Arts from a very young age. I hold a Doctorate, Professor, a 10th-degree black belt as part of my own life achievements through programs, commitment, and discipline, retired from LAPD after 23 years of dedicated service to our communities.

We need your support in raising these monies to make sure we leave NO STUDENT BEHIND. We know it's a challenge sometimes, we appreciate even the smallest amount because every cent matters and it helps our students who matter.
