YouTooSpain began as an experiment to find out how to move to Spain, and grew into a unique and entertaining YouTube channel, with videos and live shows providing valuable tips into navigating the complex bureaucracy of Spain in the clearest and most realistic way. The channel has already helped thousands of people, amassing almost 10,000 followers by the end of 2024, and collaborated with the most trusted and helpful experts in immigration.

Its host is Skatz, a singer and presenter who loves to entertain. 2024 saw him go through the horrors of cancer while refusing to stop making videos and avoiding asking for government support. Determined to fight, but unable to perform the concerts that were also previously helping him keep afloat, he’s been gratefully relying on donations from fans and friends.

After radiotherapy and chemotherapy for a large part of the year, Skatz had an operation to remove what was left of the tumour (that he named Freddie), left hospital in December 2024 and is now slowly recovering from surgery. He is fitted with a temporary stoma bag that will be removed in a second operation in the summer of 2025, which will once again see him out of gig action.

Still Alive is Skatz’s second YouTube channel, with a rallying cry of ‘Don’t Die Before You Die’. He started it early in 2024 to document the health scare that turned into cancer, and it has been a weekly no-holds-barred blog diary ever since. The channel’s aim is to live in the moment, refuse to accept mediocrity, and run headlong into the adventure that is life, however old we are. So you’ll see much more action in the videos in the future and some great collaborations with fellow creators.
