Empower the next generation of "fosterpreneurs"

Donation protected
Be the bridge of care for foster care youth, donate to our youth mentorship programs and help us create enrichment opportunities that empower young artists, creators, and marginalized communities.

** Our 2022-2023 youth cohort interns are transitioning from the foster care system to independent care (ages 17-24) and are currently either homeless, “couch-surfing,” in uncomfortable living arrangements (group homes), and participants in TAY-funded systems (Transition Age Youth programs). They are the heart of our grassroots movement, our youth volunteers - the next generation of "fosterpreneurs"**

Our Generation Cares is a collective action of young entrepreneurs and disadvantaged youth with a central objective to impact positive change through innovation. We believe the mobilization of resources requires grassroots efforts to be successful, and it’s our corporate social responsibility to connect and empower the public with viable, purposeful, strategic partnerships. We provide current and former foster care youth (ages 14-24) with great opportunities to work and make entrepreneurial/career dreams a reality. Our programs offer one-on-one mentoring, employment opportunities, the chance to build occupational skills, and financial literacy resources like managing money and saving.

The challenges and struggles carried forward from the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to 2023 have debilitated our spirits, our operating budget, and the community activities we host at the venue/kitchen “Coco Beach Presents.” We now welcome your collaboration to help us reimagine how we pioneer, develop, and empower disadvantaged youth. Please share our story with friends and family and through social media channels - be the voice of support they didn’t have.

Our intentions are powerful with momentum – but the lack of financial support, resources, and marketing exposure impact modest and limited outcomes. We welcome any sponsorships, partnerships, and guidance -if you’d like to get involved with our OGC initiatives, please follow us on Instagram at @ourgenerationcares. We accept and encourage in-kind services, sponsorships, equipment/supply contributions (drop off at community center), grants, and monetary donations via cash/check, Zelle/Paypal ([email redacted]), and motivational speakers!!

OUR CALL TO ACTION
Our call to action is in direct response to the social injustices experienced by first-generation entrepreneurs in marginalized communities and the deprivation of financial literacy in the growing number of at-risk youth (ages 14-24). By being equipped for the present, young people can envision the future.

OUR JOURNEY
Our hustle and care ignited in 2020 from the parking lot of our aspiring commercial shared kitchen and live venue (now “Coco Beach Presents”) to our temple of passion and youth enrichment center “Grace on 3rd Community Center” in Long Beach, CA. We are ambitious for lasting change and won’t stop until social systems meet community needs. OGC’s advocacy aims to protect children and youth from harm and dangerous conditions in systems. They need support, opportunities, and care to grow up healthy and happy through child-focused, research-informed advocacy strategies, including media advocacy, collaborative system-change projects, training and advice, and public education.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to create invaluable resources that inspire passion and purpose in disadvantaged youth (ages 14-24) within marginalized communities.

Through social innovation and equitable access to financial literacy - we equip disadvantaged youth with life-skill resources, mentorship programs, and enrichment opportunities that promote social and intellectual development.

OUR PURPOSE
We envision sustainable ecosystems that give purpose to the youth in a way that inspires, excites, and is relevant to their generation. Our objective is clear; innovation influences positive change and economic recovery in marginalized communities. To accomplish this, we form mindful partnerships within business communities, schools, churches, and community centers to empower the youth and impact positive social change.

OUR FOCUS
We believe we have a social responsibility to the next generation. The next generation values human dignity and is cooperative, conscious, and caring. The next generation is redefining what success looks like and reshaping markets while empowering voices.

OUR VALUES
Hustle & Care: Reflect your heart into your hustle.
Passion & Purpose: Inspire passion and execute with purpose
Diversity & Inclusion: Our care is inclusive and unbiased - key to our success
Failures & Lessons: Failure teaches us to embrace change and impacts motivation
