Little Jewford is a skilled Pianist with a signature flair for offbeat comedy and frequently compared to the great Victor Borge. In his home state of Texas, he is often identified for his role as accompanist and sidekick to Texas legend, Kinky Friedman, and as an original member of the trailblazing band “Kinky Friedman and The Texas Jewboys.” Little Jewford has traveled the world performing with Friedman in addition to appearing solo in both sophisticated and funky showrooms across the USA.

To know Little Jewford is to love him. His family and friends were devastated when they recently learned that he has Stage 3 Throat Cancer. After having difficulty swallowing a CAT scan revealed a mass in his throat. The ENT (otolaryngology surgeon) scheduled a biopsy and during the biopsy an emergency tracheotomy was necessary; ultimately the doctor diagnosed the mass as squamous cell cancer. It’s a particularly bewildering situation, as Jewford does NOT smoke or drink, and is genuinely into healthy eating.  No-one ever said life was fair.

 Little Jewford is facing the most challenging time of his life. He will undergo seven weeks of radiation and chemotherapy, which will impact his ability to swallow, and significantly affect many other aspects of his life. He has a tracheostomy tube placed in his throat, and a feeding tube inserted in his stomach to allow him to receive adequate nutrition when he's unable to swallow.  After the seven weeks of treatments there will be at least seven more weeks of recovery.  It is a tough road ahead, but we can all help him in that journey.

Little Jewford needs to fight and fight hard, and you can help. As you can imagine, this entire undertaking is a colossal economic burden, and we want him to be able to concentrate solely on the healing process. Please Support Your Little Jewford!
