Support Young Artists in BC with Said The Whale

Donation protected

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this. Eight years ago we introduced this project as a way to raise awareness for music education programs in Vancouver. We organized a small “busking tour” of local high schools, and donated proceeds from a small charity performance to Musicounts. Now in 2019, with a JUNO award under our belts, a #1 record in Canada, and thousands of tickets sold across the country, we are excited to be re-launching this initiave with a renewed passion for supporting our community - in particular young people in music. It is our hope that through this project we may inspire young people to nurture their talents in music. Whether that leads to a career in the entertainment industry or simply an enjoyable form of self exression, we believe that life is better with music, and we want to help young people discover that for themselves.

This Spring we are embarking on a tour of schools in the lower mainland. We are not being paid one cent for these shows - our time, resources, and travel will all be at our expense. With the incredible help of Air Miles STAGE PASS, we  have a secured minimum donation of $1000 to each school we perform at! All money raised through this GoFundMe will be added to that amount and donated directly to the host schools and used to support their music programs. Thank you for your support!!

Here is the list of schools we will be visiting:
•Argyle Secondary
•Abbotsford School Of Integrated Arts
•Mountainside Secondary
•Devon Gardens Elementary
•Royal Bay Secondary
•Mount Pleasant Elementary
•Surrey Christian School
