Hello, this is our boy Yoshi. He’s the sweetest baby and we love him dearly. He’s silly, loves to explore, and loves his worms. He started squeaking while using the bathroom and was acting lethargic so we took him to the vet. An X-ray was done and it showed a kidney stone. For now he’s on an anti inflammatory medication to help with pain and is having to take critical care to keep him hydrated. His vet is hoping the stone will dissolve but if he gets worse we’re to take him back and he can have surgery to remove a kidney if it comes to it. Just three months ago we did an ultrasound, and blood work because he was lethargic, it showed he had an infection and high white blood cells which he was treated for. Then last month he was sneezing and had boogers and eye goop, he was prescribed some antibiotics for it and got over it quickly. I’m raising funds to help cover his vet expenses and us buying critical care often. If he has to have surgery then donations would go towards that as well. He’s supposed to go back often for X-rays to see if the stones have dissolved and the surgery if it comes down to it. So far between his three visits it’s costed us $700. Each X-ray is $150 at his vet as well for the future. His vet is Live oak animal hospital south in Lubbock Tx. We’re not sure an estimate for surgery if needed but I’ll keep everyone updated on his condition and what’s to come. Yoshi would appreciate any help his friends can offer!
