Support Yosary's Urgent Medical Care

Yosary needs our help.

Medical funds desperately needed for precious young Honduran friend who has suffered a severe epileptic seizure and is now in coma. Because the island does not have adequate medical facilities, she has been transferred to the mainland for emergency care and further evaluation. This is extremely expensive and local funds/resources are extremely limited.

Yosary is the young woman who a year ago had an epileptic seizure while cooking and burned her legs and entire front of her body with hot cooking oil. After months and months of hospitalization and gracious funding from many of you, Yosary made a full recovery. But now she is fighting for her life once again and her family is devastated. She is in GREAT NEED of prayer and financial assistance to cover the care, transport and hospitalization. Please pray for her healing and financially give what you can.

Back story: In 2015, Jillian and I met Yosary, a sweet young girl with epilepsy. Her family (The Smith Family) was living in a makeshift shelter with a mud floor and tarps for shelter. We were overwhelmed by their loving and generous spirits and desperate need for sanitary living conditions. In 2016, together with our church, we brought a team to Honduras to build them a home (through Dwellings). The house is still home to Yosary and the extended Smith Family. Over the years, we have provided them additional support for medical needs, food, house repairs, etc., but a need this great requires a community of support. Please join us in our effort to provide care for Yosary. She is currently at a mainland hospital, and conditions are not very good.
