Hi! My name is Kate and I'm currently volunteering at CIRCULA, a restorative justice, peace mediation, and leadership non-profit, in Antigua Guatemala, where I'll be for the next 2 months.

In 2023, through funding from the US Embassy, Circula completed a program in which they trained incarcerated individuals in a Guatemalan prison in restorative practices in preparation for their reintegration into their communities. This program had great success and yet 2 years later the US Embassy still has not paid them, leaving them without their promised $10,000. Circula will continue to petition the US Embassy for what they're owed but in the meantime I have organized a surprise fundraiser for them to raise that $10,000.

I have a donor willing to match up to $5,000, therefore leaving only $5,000 left to raise! Any amount helps! Funding will go through Yo'o Inc., Circula's fiscal sponsor in the United States.

Circula trusted the US Embassy due to its reputation but unfortunately had to learn the hard way to get paid upfront when working with the US Embassy. Help me surprise them and make something good out of an unjust situation. Thanks so much <3
