Hi! I'm Yona, a 4-year-old Newfie who lives with her momma, dad, and cat sister, Tigger. I LOVE my Lamb Chops stuffies, being the boss of the house, and taste-testing whatever is being cooked in the kitchen.
I recently had surgery to remove a foreign object from my intestines. No one knows what it was, but it sure was tasty! Anyway, I'm not recovering as well as I should be. My momma took me back to the ER vet 2 days after my surgery because my stitches were leaking and I was really, really tired. Apparently, I had an infection and needed part of my intestine removed. That was not fun.
Now, after surgery number 2, I'm hanging out at the hospital for a couple of days. I'm trying to be strong through this, but it's really difficult! I'm not interested in food right now, not even steak and salmon. The doctors have to give me fluids through an IV and feed me through a tube in my nose. How uncomfortable! My resting heart rate has been high too, which is concerning. Probably because they keep poking me and cutting me open. This whole thing has been financially hard on momma. My expenses have totaled over $14,000 so far!
I really want to get better, so I can go home to momma and continue to be a menace to society. Can you please help my recovery journey?
