We are close friends of Yolanda and Victor, reaching out on behalf of Yolanda as she faces ongoing challenges that have deeply affected her mental health and well-being. Recently, after spending time with Yolanda, it was clear to us that she’s struggling more than words can express. She’s not the joyful, vibrant person we once knew, and it’s heart-wrenching to see her going through such hardship.

Yolanda is courageously standing up for children, and because of this, she is facing ongoing, unjust charges from the police and even the church. These forces are creating relentless pressure, affecting her both financially and emotionally. We never imagined this could happen in Australia and are shaken by the lack of support she’s received.

Yolanda and Victor have always worked hard, contributing to our community in countless ways. But now, they find themselves without savings, facing staggering legal expenses. Although Yolanda’s lawyer is working pro bono, the additional costs for barristers, administrative fees, and other legal services continue to pile up. In a heartbreaking turn, they’ve even had to sell their home to cover these overwhelming expenses.

There are also misunderstandings about her situation, with some assuming she’s receiving support from TV networks or other organizations. This couldn’t be further from the truth. The financial burden of this battle falls solely on them, and it’s too much for anyone to bear alone.
