Yolanda and her husband Noel, along with their children, have been shaping the Charlottesville restaurant community for decades. Last weekend, a tree fell on their rental home, causing enormous damage and forcing them to move out immediately. On top of this, their car was also majorly damaged, making an already stressful situation even more challenging. Despite these hardships, Yolanda and Noel continue to face life with joy and incredible generosity, always putting others before themselves.

The funds raised will go directly toward moving costs, hotel and temporary accommodations for their family, and car repairs. This support will help them find a safe and comfortable new home, and give them the breathing room they need to recover from this unexpected crisis. Yolanda is not only an employee and co-worker, but also a second Mom to everyone at the bakery—her caring, heart-driven nature has been an immense impact to each of us. She is an anchor and guiding light to the bakery, a hugely important part of why Cou Cou Rachou is a warm, welcoming place to all our guests.
