Support Yolanda Brooks' College Journey

Hey!! My name is Yolanda Brooks and I am currently a freshmen in college. As a lot of people may already know, I was kicked out of my house May 2024 a week after my highschool graduation and I haven’t been in contact with my parents since August 7, 2024. This wasn’t a recent ongoing issue between us but growing up, me and my siblings suffered a lot living in a physically and emotionally abusive household. I did everything I could involving the department of child services, law enforcement, and even went to court but the system failed to protect us. I don’t entirely blame them because ultimately it was my parents job to protect us from harm even though they were the ones causing it. Not only that but my life personally became chaotic as I decided to leave the Mormon church. My parents ultimately chose their religion over their own child. Through the midst of this, I found Christ and in this process I know what happened to me was at the fault of man not God. I’m here as a survivor of both physical and emotional child abuse and have a YouTube channel: Yolanda Brooks where I speak more on about my story. My life this summer changed so sudden and fortunately, I have been able to fund for my first semester of college. I was prepared to an extent to leave but ultimately, I was just a kid thrown into this unfortunate situation. No pressure if you’re unable to donate but anything helps and the proceeds 100% will be used to pay for my college, medical expenses, and at some point I do want to find a legitimate place that I know would directly help child in need alike to my situation.
