Support Yolanda Arlee's Transplant Journey
Donation protected
My name is Yolanda Arlee and I am 55 years old dailylsis
patient. I’m currently waiting for a kidney and pancreas transplant. I am the type of person, who loves life ,planting in my garden, growing vegetables, playing with my dog. Now at times, I just feel like i am tied to the machine. I really struggled with depression and/or being not being bothered with people, but i have lots of help from my family and friends. I’m on hemo home dialysis daily for roughly 3 hours each session.
I was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure (CDK) in March 9th 2020. I have been on dailylsis for almost 5 years. As I was growing up, I have had a very happy and fun childhood. I went on family events and outtings, even though I had to go to the doctor often. During that time, I learn to do daily dailylsis tasks by myself :such as setting up the dialysis machine, monitoring my vital signs and needling myself (it is and still is very difficult) I found that dialysis is a very difficult task to begin. I resent going on the dailylsis machine which I often ended up crying, but I know that I have to do itir I will get sick or even perished.
Once the transplants are completed, I would need to stay close to the hospital hospital for after care such as routine tests and regulating my medications until I the doctors released me to go return home. The cost of the transplants aftercare would be to expensive. It will cost me a lot of money, in which I cannot afford. So, I'm asking for help from the public with my transplants journey.
I thank you so much and appreciate you and your donations.
God is with with me and he's carrying me through thi journey. My mom has always told me, 'As God has brought you to it, He can bring you through it.'
Thank you all for your help and May God continue to bless you and your family.
