PLS HELP YOGI RECOVER FROM SENSELESS VIOLENCE

Yogi’s taxi van was torched while it was parked at Crown Bay Marina. His other vans were torched where they were parked elsewhere. Totally destroyed.

Yogi is a dedicated taxi business owner in St. Thomas, USVI, who has spent years working hard to serve his community. He not only drives his own taxi but also goes out of his way to make sure everyone gets where they need to go safely and with a smile. Yogi is known for his kindness, always remembering repeat customers and offering a friendly word to everyone he meets. His commitment to the people of St. Thomas and Water Island has made him a beloved figure in the community. Yogi is always there at Crown Bay Marina to transport us from Water Island and St Thomas.

Recently, Yogi has faced unimaginable hardship. He has been the victim of violence, with more than two of his taxi vans burned as a result of vandalism. This devastating act has caused significant financial loss and put his livelihood at risk. Despite these challenges, Yogi remains hopeful and determined to continue serving the community he loves. Yogi is the favorite Taxi driver for those of us who stay on Water Island. He is easy to communicate with and always ready to meet our needs to the airport or elsewhere.

The funds raised will go directly toward replacing his lost income, covering essential expenses, and helping him purchase new vans so he can get back on the road.
