Support Yogini Ji's Urgent Medical Needs

Dear friends,

This Go Fund Me campaign has been set up to help our dear friend with her health challenges and the difficulties that she is having navigating the medical and social services system. Many of you know Yogini Ji (Yogini Urmila Devi—Natalie Rogers). She has bravely endured severe life-threatening challenges for many years. She is Permanently Disabled (since 2008) according to the medical system and the Social Services Administration.

Yogini ji has been open and transparent about her health challenges, yet she has not complained nor has she asked for financial help—until now.

She is currently requiring several MRI scans and other tests in order to identify the cause of her violent seizures which leave her in pain, exhaustion and the inability to move for days at a time. These seizures are frequent and debilitating so it is imperative that the cause is identified in order to receive proper treatment. In addition she has been cut off from her Social Services Administration funding. This occurred suddenly and without warning. It is due to the severe changes in the political and governmental landscape, effecting regulations that have been in place and unchallenged for decades.

Her monthly SSA benefits have been completely cancelled pending a 12-18 month review and a decision by the SSA. If, her funding is reinstated after the review, she was told that she would not be eligible to receive “back-pay”.

Yogini ji should have these tests as soon as possible, but without financial assistance this will not be possible. She has no health insurance covering these tests and so she has to pay for them herself and yet it is not possible for her and her family to cover the costs. All money raised through this campaign will go directly to Yogini ji in order to help her pay for medical costs.

Please, help our sister–in–spirit who is a devout disciple of Swami Nikhilananda. Yogini ji, despite her illness and sufferings, is continuing to support the work of Swami Nikhilananda and Swami Lalita Priyananda Saraswati. She continues to be an inspiration and support to many who have been called to learn about Yoga, Sanatana Dharma and the teachings of Swami Nikhilananda.

Yogini ji will be happy to answer any questions you might have and is happy to provide receipts, medical information, the name of her consultant and anything else that may be helpful to you.
