Hi, everyone! If I’m being completely honest, I’m being very vulnerable asking for help. I found yoga back in college in 2017 as an elective class but had to drop it due to financial reasons.

In 2023, I started going to community yoga classes at the Pearl and felt that I was finally on to something. Fast forward to January of 2025. I found Black Swan Yoga and dove headfirst, and the rest is history.

I am currently enrolled as a full-time student at UTSA and am already balancing many financial responsibilities and making it all happen to stay afloat. I know deep down in my heart that having the ability to pursue yoga teacher training would allow me to open so many doors for career opportunities.

With my six years of education experience and working with children, this certification would allow me to apply my yoga skills to my community and potentially deliver yoga to children that could benefit from healing movement. I love working with children and I love doing yoga, why not have these two things combined!
