Support YM During Grieving

YM is a longtime organizer and activist who has continually shown up in their community with a commitment to liberation for all people. Last week, YM's sister Michelle Denise Carrington z’’L (of blessed memory) passed away suddenly from COVID-19. Right now, YM needs financial support from their community for funeral and living expenses as they grieve this loss.

 

The below note is from YM:

 

“For those who have not yet heard, my beloved younger sister Michelle Denise Carrington z”l passed away last Monday, May 16, due to complications from COVID-19. She was 41. In the last year of her life, Michelle and I shared a home together just as we had done as children and young adults. I am thankful that I got to spend such precious time with dear Michelle as she was pursuing a life of greater autonomy and interdependence. In light of her sudden departure, being able to share space with her was a blessing.”

 

YM is setting a goal to raise $15K. The funds will be used for Michelle’s memorial expenses and to cover at least two months of lost income for YM as they grieve the loss of their sister.
