I’m reaching out to ask for your support for a beloved friend, Yhesenia (Yheisi), whose family has been affected by the Palisades fire. Yheisi has been an integral part of the Palisades community for decades, working as a housekeeper and building close, lasting friendships with many families who are now displaced due to the fire.

Since January, Yheisi’s livelihood has been at risk as many of her long-time clients have left the area after losing their homes. Although she lives in a part of the city that wasn’t directly in the fire's path, the loss of work has put her at risk of losing her own home, where she lives with her wonderful kids—two school-aged sons and a young adult daughter.

Yheisi is an extraordinary mother, friend, and community member. She is a board member at the Westside Family Health Center, a passionate advocate for her children, and a lover of the outdoors. Her kindness, optimism, and strength are a beacon.

We’re hoping these funds can provide some relief to Yheisi and her family as she navigates this difficult time and looks for new work in the city. Your donation will help her keep her family afloat during this transition.
