Dear Aggie Family, I am reaching out in hopes of receiving alumni assistance as I work toward completing my degree. I first enrolled at the university in 2013 but faced several personal challenges that interrupted my academic journey. I’m now a proud mother of three beautiful daughters—a nine-year-old and five-year-old twins—and have returned to school with a renewed commitment to finish what I started. Since re-enrolling, I’ve been part of a satisfactory academic progress appeal program due to my previous GPA, and I’m proud to share that I’ve consistently earned A’s and B’s in all of my recent courses. I’m currently in the process of switching my major to Business Information Technology for the upcoming fall semester. However, I am in need of financial assistance to cover my summer courses. I was awarded a summer scholarship, but I still owe a portion out-of-pocket. I initially enrolled in a payment plan, but it was revoked after I had to withdraw from a spring course that conflicted with my schedule. In order to remain in good standing with my appeal and continue receiving aid in the fall, I must pay for my summer classes out-of-pocket. This journey has not been easy, but I remain determined to succeed. I’ve set my pride aside and am reaching out to my fellow Aggies for support. Any assistance you can provide would be deeply appreciated and would bring me one step closer to achieving my educational goals. Thank you for your time and consideration. Aggie Pride, Yhasmine Lucas
