Yesteryears Antique Mall isn’t your typical antique store — it’s a community of 80 small businesses with a shared goal: to bring joy to shoppers and offer an experience unlike any other.
On Sunday the 12th, flood damage was discovered in several areas of the antique mall, with the most severe impact in the candy, popcorn, and coffee shop. Thankfully, Yesteryears has the support of our amazing landlords, who were able to get a restoration service in within hours of discovering the flooding.
Unfortunately, this was not regular flooding — it was sewer wastewater and solids coming through our drains. Because of this, Cuppy’s Café and Candy Corner suffered a complete loss. Every single piece of candy (300+ items), every bag of popcorn, and every food item had to be thrown away to ensure the health and safety of everyone. The entire coffee shop had to be gutted, including all the newly built kitchen cabinets and counters, which were removed and taken to the dump.
Photos can’t capture the heartbreak of throwing everything away and having to rebuild our candy, popcorn, and coffee shop entirely from scratch. We will rebuild, and it will be wonderful again — but the financial burden of starting over is heavy, especially with no business coming in while we remain closed for thorough sanitation throughout the store.
If you would like to support us during this time by helping with the rebuilding process, covering wages for our amazing employees, or contributing to cleaning supplies, we would be deeply grateful.
Thank you so much for your support. We can’t wait to welcome you back as soon as everything is clean and ready for more treasures to be found!
