My name is Yessica, and in December 2024, at the age of 39, I was diagnosed with stage two colon cancer. The diagnosis came as a shock, and I had to undergo emergency surgery to remove part of my colon. Since then, I’ve been living with an ostomy bag, and I’m scheduled for a reversal surgery on July 29th. While I’m grateful for the progress so far, I know the journey isn’t over—I’ll be starting chemotherapy soon, and there are still many challenges ahead.

This experience has completely changed my daily life. I’ve been unable to work since my diagnosis, and most of my days are filled with medical appointments and treatments. Through it all, I’m doing my best to maintain a sense of normalcy for my family. My husband has been my rock, taking care of our daughter and managing bills while I focus on healing. The financial strain has been tough, and that’s why I’m reaching out for support.
