Support Yeli and Tai's Advocacy Journey

Hello! We are fundraising travel and lodging funds for 2 determined activists to make it out to Tallahassee to be a part of citizen lobbying during legislative session!

Yeli is an activist and organizer from South Florida who focuses on the intersections of disability and accessibility advocacy and LGBTQ+ activism. She is passionate about activism and it fuels her hard work.

Tai is a trans woman, lesbian, and disabled rapper & musician from Austin, Texas. Now more than ever, she is acutely aware of the need to speak truth to power as her identity and rights are actively being ripped away alongside Yeli's. Tai has built a strong friendship with Yeli and has committed to helping make Yeli's trip as accessible as possible. Tai has provided support for previous Democratic campaigns, mostly through her incredible political organizer & grant writer mother Laura Derrick. She has also worked with organizations like Battleground Texas and Organizing for America. You can find her music on your favorite streaming platform under the moniker MC Tai Pwon.
