Support Yeatman Teachers After Tornado

Donation protected
After over a decade working in Title I schools, I founded TITAN (Title I Teaching Advocacy Network) because I’ve seen what happens when passionate educators are left to figure it out alone. I know what it feels like to dig into your own pocket to make a classroom feel like a home. I know the exhaustion of trying to teach rigorously with broken technology, outdated materials, and zero supplies—while still expected to deliver life-changing outcomes.

One of the schools that shaped me most was Yeatman Liddell Middle School, on the North Side of St. Louis. It’s a school full of heart, creativity, and grit—but like many buildings in high-need areas, it lacked resources long before disaster struck.

In 2025, a tornado hit St. Louis and Yeatman was one of the buildings directly impacted. The staff was told to pack up just a few boxes from their classrooms. That’s all they could bring with them as they transferred to a temporary site at Blewett Middle School. No proper moving budget. No decorating allowance. No support for students—many of whom are still emotionally and physically displaced.

This is where TITAN steps in.

TITAN was created to fill the gap where the system falls short. We advocate for teachers and students in underfunded communities—providing tools, resources, and direct support that schools often can’t.

Right now, TITAN is raising funds to offer mini-stipends and care packages to the teachers from Yeatman now working out of Blewett. These funds will help them purchase classroom supplies, materials for displaced students, and basic items to turn bare walls into warm, welcoming spaces again.

This isn’t just about buying markers or posters—it’s about restoring dignity, stability, and inspiration for kids and educators who’ve already lost so much.

If you’ve ever wondered how to help teachers doing the impossible with nothing—this is your moment.

Your donation helps make temporary classrooms feel like home again. It helps teachers show up for kids who’ve been displaced, traumatized, and overlooked. It helps a community recover—not just with words, but with action.

Stand with TITAN. Let’s show these teachers and students that they are not alone.
