My mother, Westfalia Nava—lovingly known as Yaya or Mami—is the heart of our family and a source of love and strength to all who know her.

Anyone who has shared a meal she prepared, received her guidance, or experienced her unconditional support understands the kind of woman she is.

She is a devoted mother and grandmother, marked by joy, faith, generosity, and resilience. Throughout her life, she has consistently placed the needs of others before her own, giving selflessly and loving without limits. Her kindness, warmth, and steadfast spirit have touched many lives.

Today, our family is facing one of the most difficult seasons we have ever encountered.

My mother has been diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer and is currently hospitalized. She has required blood transfusions and continues to experience internal bleeding as her medical team conducts tests and determines the most appropriate course of treatment. She will require specialized care, close monitoring, and ongoing treatment moving forward.

The financial strain from hospital stays, diagnostic testing, transfusions, treatment, and ongoing medical care is substantial. This support will also help cover essential household expenses, allowing me to step away from work when needed so I can be fully present with my mother during her treatment and recovery.

With humility, hope, and faith, I ask for your support. Any contribution, regardless of amount, will help ease the financial strain and allow our family to focus on what matters most: her care, comfort, and healing.

Es una madre y abuela dedicada, llena de alegría, fe, generosidad y resiliencia. Hoy, nuestra familia atraviesa uno de los momentos más difíciles que hemos enfrentado.

Mi madre ha sido diagnosticada con cáncer de páncreas en etapa 3 y actualmente se encuentra hospitalizada. Ha necesitado transfusiones de sangre y continúa presentando sangrado interno mientras su equipo médico realiza estudios y determina el mejor curso de tratamiento. Requerirá atención médica especializada, monitoreo constante y tratamiento continuo.

La carga financiera derivada de la hospitalización, los estudios médicos, las transfusiones, los tratamientos y la atención continua es considerable. Este apoyo también ayudará a cubrir gastos esenciales del hogar, permitiéndome ausentarme del trabajo cuando sea necesario para poder estar plenamente presente con mi madre durante su tratamiento y recuperación.
