My mom — and the kids’ Yaya — is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. While she is facing this with incredible strength, the financial strain of this illness has become overwhelming.

She is a senior living on a fixed income, and despite paying a monthly premium for Medicare coverage, the out-of-pocket costs associated with cancer treatment have quickly exceeded what we can manage. Like many seniors, she has not qualified for most financial assistance programs. Unfortunately, expenses continue to accumulate and right now, she is having to prioritize rent, utilities, and basic necessities, with little left to address mounting medical bills.

My mom has always shown up for others with generosity and care. This fundraiser is about showing up for her, so she can focus on her treatment instead of worrying about how she will pay her bills.

Our goal is $15,000 to help cover out-of-pocket medical expenses and essential living costs during her treatment and follow-up care. This support will help ease financial stress and provide stability during this challenging time.
