Gracias al primer tratamiento de radioterapia, el tumor talámico logró reducirse.

Sin embargo, en una segunda resonancia, se detectaron 2 nuevos tumores cerebrales, y además una lesión en la pleura que requiere más estudios. Todo esto ocasiona una sintomatología que requiere atención médica en casa.

Thanks to the first radiotherapy treatment, the thalamic tumor has shrunk. However, a second MRI revealed two new brain tumors and a lesion in the pleura that requires further testing. All of this causes symptoms that require medical care at home.

My aunt needs:

• A pleural biopsy

• Radiotherapy for the brain tumors

• Chemotherapy afterward

Hola, somos la familia Páez, y necesitamos tu apoyo para nuestra querida Yaury María Páez Colombo, quien recientemente fue diagnosticada con un tumor cerebral (Glioma Talamico de bajo grado). A sus 64 años, Yaury ha sido siempre una mujer llena de energía —madre, abogada y miembro activo de su comunidad en Caracas, Venezuela. Este diagnóstico ha sido inesperado, pero confiamos en que, con su espíritu luchador y nuestra ayuda, podrá superarlo.

El tratamiento que necesita, que incluye radioterapia y posiblemente quimioterapia, es muy costoso para nosotros como familia. Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a cubrir sus tratamientos, medicinas y cuidados especializados. Sabemos que con el apoyo de personas como tú, podemos brindarle la mejor oportunidad de recuperación.

Hi, we are the Paez family, and we need your support for our dear Yaury Maria Paez Colombo, who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor (Thalamic Glioma, low grade). At 64 years old, Yaury has always been a woman full of energy—a mother, lawyer, and active member of her community in Caracas, Venezuela.
