This is Yata.

She’s recently developed the ability to see across realms. Seemingly out of nowhere.

With no guidance to help her make sense of what’s happening, but with an inner feeling that she must restore or reconnect with an intelligence that has been lost, she sets out to navigate these new worlds alone—with the help of a few spirit guides and ancestors, naturally.

This piece is the first panel and title page.

YATA is a living comic, meant to be experienced and walked through in physical space, built one panel at a time. It's about consciousness, memory, and navigating inner and outer worlds.
