Support Yasmin’s Cancer Healing Journey

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters. We’re raising funds for our dear friend Yasmin — a devoted nurse, a loving mother, and one of the kindest people we know — who is now facing stage 4 breast cancer.

For a long time, she gently resisted the idea of fundraising for her own benefit. She often said she is already lucky to have a home, a loving family and friends, and a meaningful career as a nurse. She believed that there are others who needed help more than she did. It took months of quiet reflection and honest conversations before she agreed.

Now, with kindness and clarity, she has decided to open this space. Not to ask for more, but to allow us to walk alongside her. To help give her peace of mind, space to rest, comfort, and strength for the time ahead.

Her Journey

Yasmin was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016 at the age of 41. After completing treatment, she fully recovered and was cancer free. Life moved forward-she return to her busy work as a ICU senior nurse, raised her children and gave her energy to care for others. In 2020, after COVID, the cancer returned. It has been a long 9 years battle with breast cancer and most of the treatment options have been exhausted over the years. Currently, it has progressed to Stage 4 cancer. The prognosis is 12-18 months, with some clinical trial and palliative radiotherapy that help to relief the symptoms. Now her focus is living each day skilfully, meaningfully and to create a positive condition and connection that the universe presented to her. In addition, spending quality time with her husband, daughter 11 and son 9 years old.

Yasmin meets the news of her prognosis with quiet strength. She often describes cancer as "a teacher" — helping and teaching her to slow down, reflect, and return to caring for herself with tenderness and presence, and to live in the present moment.

Yasmin is a dedicated nurse who has worked in intensive care for many years. Most recently, she focused on post-ICU rehabilitation and recovery. Having also been on the receiving end of care, she understands deeply what patients and families go through. Her clinic project was recently nominated for a hospital award by patients and families — a meaningful boost during a time of uncertainty. Although she has now taken a break from work, she continues to carry the heart of a nurse. This fundraiser is our chance to return the care she has so often given to others.

What This Fund Will Support

Yasmin hopes to live the time she has left skilfully — in peace and comfort — and to spend meaningful moments with her children and loved ones. Your support can help with home improvement projects and a few simple holidays, creating beautiful memories with family and friends, while also giving her time to focus on her health and well-being, free from financial worry.

However, this doesn't need to be all financial support, your prayer, spiritual support and kindness in any form — especially if you're offering time or support — are deeply appreciated.

These small acts of care can bring comfort, ease worry and pain, and help Yasmin breathe more easily.

Yasmin’s Heart and Vow

Yasmin has always lived a life of service, and she wishes to continue giving back and paying forward the kindness she has received. When her health and energy allow, she hopes to volunteer with cancer-related charities, support peer-led groups, and promote mental health and mindfulness in schools and her local community.
