Baby Brian was born on March 18, 2024. He was born with only one ventricle in his heart and will need 3 surgeries during his first year of life and multiple surgeries as he grows. His mommy, Yaritza, is doing her best while working to pay bills and visit him everyday while he is in ICU. Just before he was born, she purchased a new used vehicle and was hit in the parking lot where she works. Her vehicle has been totaled and the other driver was not cited because it was in a parking lot. Insurance only paid part of her loan and she still owes over $7,000 + the loss of her down payment. She also has over $9,000 in personal medical bills to date, and she will incur future ongoing additional medical bills in taking care of baby Brian when he is released from the hospital.

We have started this fundraiser to help alleviate some of her financial burdens and help her replace the vehicle she lost with a safer form of transportation, because right now she is driving an old Hyundai that is not in very good mechanical condition and will not last very long. When Baby Brian is able to come home, he will still have many more doctor visits that she will need to take him to.
