Help Yara Survive and Rebuild Her Future
My name is Tim Hartman. I’m originally from the U.S. and now based in the Middle East, working as a media and content host. I want to share a story that changed me — and ask for your help in changing a life.
Through a mutual friend — the incredible Dr. Alison Beadsworth, an Emergency Medical Consultant from the Cayman Islands — I was introduced to Yara. Dr. Beadsworth met Yara while working at the UK Med Field Hospital in Al Mawasi, Gaza during the summer of 2024. What she witnessed there, and what she shared with me, shook me to my core.
There is a genocide in Gaza. And Yara is living through it every single day.
She’s just 20 years old — a medical student who now serves in place of doctors who’ve been killed in the war. She's seen horror most of us couldn’t begin to imagine. Her words say it best:
“Living in Gaza means your life is constantly at risk. At any moment, you could lose your home, your dreams, your family — everything you’ve been building for years. I lost my only brother. His death broke me. I lost my home, my dreams, and a part of myself. But I’m still here. And I want to keep going.”
Yara's dream is simple — to become a doctor and save lives.
Right now, she’s asking for help — not just for herself, but for her entire family. They’ve lost everything.
What she needs is basic:
Food
Shelter
Tuition support to continue her medical education
The chance to survive — and rebuild.
Please, don’t scroll past this. If you can give anything — $5, $50, or simply share this story — you’ll be helping a family in crisis and a young woman who still dares to dream of healing others, even in the middle of unimaginable pain.
This isn’t just charity. This is solidarity.
Let’s show Yara that the world hasn’t forgotten her. Let’s give her a fighting chance.
Please donate and share.
