Hi, my name is Yamori Richardson. I'm a 10-year-old local Champion Go Kart driver aspiring to become the next youngest Formula 1 race car driver. I started Karting at age 4 with a cheap go kart my dad found on ebay and raced in a empty factory parking lot that my dad turned into a track with a lot of orange cones. It was just my dad and mom cheering my on at that time, because of Covid eww, at age 5 he took me to R1 indoor karting in Rhode Island where I later became the mini Kart lap record holder after many many many laps of practicing. Also. becoming youngest to race with the Adult high speed club at age 8.
I get realy good grades in school and listen to my parents' rules snd advice because I know if I don't I can not continue to race to my dreams.
Karting is very expensive and leaves kids like me out of the sport and only the rich kids get in. I believe if I continue to win races that I can make it to become one of the greatest. For my first time overseas, I won the Cadet electric Karting opening race. I returned to the US and won my first Gas-powered Cadet race and also took second and third place in the last Cadet Karting Challenge. It's my dream to become an F1 driver so I can help kids like myself someday live out their dreams as well. Why should only the wealthy be a part of something many people enjoy? It would be nice to see kids of all backgrounds be able to compete and show their talents to the world. I hope one day my GiGi and Grandpa can see me in a Formula 1 car or Formula E.
If I can raise enough money for the season to buy my own Pro Kart, I can go to the Nationals and get picked up by a professional team which will pave the way to bigger and better opportunities. Right now, my mom and dad try their hardest by renting me a Kart to compete. They have sold so many things they worked so hard for to keep me racing and it makes me sad but very appreciative.
I win with the rental Kart on local levels but the regional and national kids have way better equipment that I can't compete with no matter how good I drive.
Thank you for any help you can offer me!
Thank you,
