On Mother’s Day, Sunday May 10th, an unexpected tragedy changed everything for our neighbors at Xuya Massage. A driver on Highway 92 suffered a medical emergency, veered off the road, and crashed directly through the front of the business. The vehicle tore through two walls of the storefront before coming to a stop inside the shop, and the neighboring business Hearts Tattoo. One of Xuya Massage’s employees, Ms. Gao, was working right where the car entered. She was struck by debris and pinned by the impact. She was rushed to the hospital and is now facing a long road to recovery. Her injuries include facial lacerations requiring over a dozen stitches, damage to several teeth, swelling, and ongoing physical and emotional trauma from the accident. Beyond the medical emergency, the damage to Xuya Massage is devastating. The entire front of the business was destroyed, forcing the shop to close during reconstruction. This means the owners and employees are suddenly without income while also trying to manage medical bills, repairs, lost wages, and personal losses caused by the crash. Mr. and Ms. Wang are incredibly kind people who have always cared deeply for their community and customers. They do not deserve to face this hardship alone.
