My name is Scott, and I was blessed to come into Xuan and her mother’s lives when Xuan married into my family years ago. It is with a heavy heart that I am organizing this fund to support Xuan and her family following the devastating loss of her mother, Bay Nguyen.
From the very moment we met, Bay was a profoundly warm and loving woman. She was incredibly kind, considerate, and always smiling. Even though there was a definite language barrier between us, she never let that stop her from communicating her deep love. You could simply feel it when you were with her. She was also an amazing cook, and her Vietnamese beef stew will forever be missed—it was just one of the many ways she nurtured and cared for those around her.
The saddest part of this heartbreaking loss is the journey that led here. Bay originally traveled to the U.S. just before the COVID-19 pandemic to visit Xuan and help care for her after the birth of her grandson, Odin. Tragically, due to the global pandemic and her own unexpected, failing health, Bay was trapped here and never able to return home to Vietnam.
This monumental loss has been overwhelming for Xuan and her family, both emotionally and financially. We are humbly asking for your support to help the family mourn this incredibly devoted mother and grandmother without the crushing stress of these sudden expenses.
Most importantly, the funds raised will be used to fulfill Bay's last dying wish: to be returned home to Vietnam for her final rest.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a profound difference in helping this beautiful family say goodbye. If you are unable to donate at this time, simply sharing this page with your network would mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for your compassion, kindness, and support during this deeply difficult time.
