Hi all, my name is Gigi and I am fundraising to help my decades-long best friend, Xochitl, with medical expenses. Xochitl was diagnosed with stage III cervical cancer in March, but due to insurance issues was unable to start treatment until October. She is now undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, which have been taking a toll on her health, requiring her husband to take time off work to care for her.

Xochitl is a very sweet, radiant and above-all giving person. One of her passions is gardening, and she regularly gives out fruits and vegetables to her family and community members. She is a dedicated mother, both to her children and the animals she has rescued over the years. She is the type of person to open her home to anybody in need, and has many times.

However, now it is time for us to help Xochitl. She and her husband have both cut back on work while she is undergoing treatment, and this has left them with less income and significantly more expenses. They have three daughters, two of whom still live at home under their care. Xochitl has been there for me and many others during our hardest moments, and she deserves to have a community supporting her too. Any donation or reshare is greatly appreciated!
