Dear friends, neighbors, and community,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for our dear friend Ximena and her husband, Patrick Games. Patrick suffered a massive heart attack and is currently on life support in the ICU. While Patrick is in stable condition, he will soon be transferred to a specialized hospital to begin what we all hope will be a full recovery.

Patrick is a well known teacher at Half Moon Bay High, playing an integral role in teaching Spanish to many students, including the AP Spanish class. Ximena — or “Xime,” as many of us know her — is a dedicated Spanish tutor here on the coast. Over the years, Xime has become so much more than a teacher — she’s a light in our children’s lives and a vibrant part of our community. Her warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit have touched countless families.

Now, during this incredibly difficult and uncertain time, we have the opportunity to give back.

We’re raising funds to help Ximena and Patrick with the unexpected expenses they are now facing, including:

• Transportation for Ximena to be with Patrick as he’s moved between hospitals

• Travel costs to bring family in to support her

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance

• Everyday needs during this time of crisis

Most of all, we want Xime and Patrick to feel surrounded by love and support, the same way she has surrounded all of us for so many years.
