A Story of Hope, Faith, and a Miracle Baby
Meet Xiana Saunders, a true fighter and a living miracle. Born at just 22 weeks and 0 days gestation, Xiana holds the record as the youngest and smallest baby ever delivered at Lancaster General Health Women & Babies Hospital in Pennsylvania. Her original due date was December 28, 2024, but she made her arrival early on August 25, 2024, at 9:04 AM, weighing only 14.8 ounces.
The smallest available intubation tube, size 2.0, saved her life. The NICU team had warned Xiana’s mother that intubation might not be possible due to Xiana’s tiny size, but thanks to their skill and perseverance, they succeeded. Her mother went into labor at 21 weeks and 5 days, and with the help of the dedicated doctors and nurses, was able to carry her until 22 weeks.
Today, Xiana weighs 1 lb 5 oz and continues to thrive—she is a miracle in every way. The touching image of Xiana gripping her mother’s pinky finger, is a powerful reminder of her strength.
We are raising funds to support Xiana’s ongoing medical care as well as essential travel and other needs. Your prayers, contributions, and support are deeply appreciated. Thank you for being part of Xiana's miraculous journey.
This GoFundMe has been set up on behalf of Xiana's mother, Priscilla Saunders.
