My name is Laurie Gramlich. I am in need of help for my beautiful Rottweiler, Xena, and for my expenses. Xena is fighting for her life due to Acute Immune Mediated Anemia. To recover from this, she needs multiple blood transfusions, lab work, ultrasounds, etc. Medications will be lifelong as well as frequent monitoring.

This is our story. After so many losses, starting with my husband, a Vietnam veteran, and multiple beloved pets, I moved to a rural area and my parents joined me. Unfortunately, my dad passed first and left me with the job of caregiver for my mom with dementia. After she passed, I wanted to find another Rottweiler to be my companion. A friend found Xena in New Jersey. She was 3 years old and being retired from her breeder. When we met, there was an amazing connection. It was as though she had been waiting her whole life for me to find her. I later came to find out she was born the day my dad passed. My dad had been very involved in the world of dogs, so this was an amazing connection. She has been my heart and soul and a great comfort. We go everywhere together and we have a lot of fun. She also helps me in the house as I have some permanent injuries that make life a bit more difficult. But Xena is there for me no matter what and I want to do all I can for her. She deserves the opportunity for a longer life and I can't live without her.
