Hello my name is Alejandra, Im a single mom of 2. I decided to create this gofundme to help my son fulfill his dream of going to spain to train with atletico de madrid. My son Xavier is 17 now he practices daily even on off days is disciplined and dedicated he has been obsessed with soccer since he was 12 and first got to see his first pro team phoenix rising in person as a youth mentor for ayso teaching younger kids the love for the sport. He swore he would play there one day last year he tried out for the soccer shootout with the elks lodge and won 1st place in district,state, and regionals and placed second in nationals. In August he got the opportunity to try out for the firmament tournament with Atletico de Madrid and was chosen to go to Spain! At the tournament he got the opportunity to try out for his favorite dream club Phoenix Rising and made the team! We had never separated since he was born but it was his dream, so he moved over 4 hours away to play for his dream club team. A couple weeks ago he was accepted with a full academic scholarship to grand canyon university! Hes an amazing young man and has a tremendous heart, goes to christian club and created a bible study group for his friends and him to meet every night GCU was another dream come true. However as a single mom with a 6 yr old at home fulfilling his dream is costing a little more than anticipated and even with 2 jobs and the help of family we are going to need extra help to get him to Spain in February. This is why I chose to do this if everyone can support with anything they can 1 dollar helps even if its just a share we can make a young teens dream come true. He says he wants to be professional so his mom and grandma never have to work again little does he know Id work 10 jobs just to see him succeed!
