Support Xavier's fight against Leukemia

Donation protected
Xavier, his mother Jasmine, and two younger brothers had just traveled from British Columbia to Nova Scotia to visit with his grandparents when he fell sick. After 20 hours in a rural emergency room, his family was given unimaginably difficult news: Xavier was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

The good news is that ALL is very treatable, and his prognosis is good! Thanks to some excellent doctors and his mother's attentive care, he was diagnosed early.

The bad news is, that being so far from home and their local support networks, the Evanson Family will be incuring significant financial costs during his necessary and urgent treatment. Also, ALL requires a long and difficult course of treatment to support a full recovery.

His father, Rob, has had to take unexpexted and extended time off in order to join his family in NS, and both he and Jasmine will need significant time off of work to ensure that Xavier and his brothers are cared for and supported at this time. There are also expenses related to being so far away from home that quickly add up, along with additional costs when they return home after Xavier's first round of treatment. Thid includes easy and nutritius meals, comfort items, childcare support, and other unforseen expenses that will pop up along the way.

So many people have reached out to Jasmine and Rob to ask what they can do to support their family during this extremely difficult time. A significant way that you can support Xavier, Jasmine, Rob, Thorin, and Kai is to offer some financial support to ease the burden of this sudden and unexpected turn of events

Let's support the Evanson family so that they can pour all of their energy into ensuring thay Xavier can get back to doing what every 5 year old deserves to be doing: playing with his brothers, going to school, riding his bike, and enjoying his life.

If you are unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family, and/or making an appointment to donate blood at your local Canadian Blood Services location. Xavier, and kids just like him, need blood donations to help in their recovery.
