Hello, my name is Xander Larios. After multiple laboratory tests and ultrasounds, I was diagnosed with an aggressive Metastatic Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma (thyroid cancer). Malignant cancerous cells were found on my level 4 lymph nodes (located in the lower part of the neck). The cancer started in my thyroid and has spread to my lymph nodes.

I am currently taking medication to get my thyroid “under control” as I am in the process of scheduling my surgery date, a complete thyroidectomy and removal of lymph nodes.

I will need Radioactive Iodine (RAI) Therapy after surgery and will need to be isolated from everyone (days TBD) and I will also need to take thyroid hormone replacement medication for life with regular follow-up care for monitoring the treatment response and detecting any recurrence.

The funds raised will be used to cover my health insurance deductible, out-of-pocket expenses, medications, surgery, and recovery. I will be out of work for recovery and RAI Therapy.
