Support Wylee as he fights Burkitt Lymphoma

We are reaching out to share Wylee's story with you. Wylee, a dedicated 22-year-old Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Alabama, is facing a challenge that he never anticipated: a battle against Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Burkitt Lymphoma.

After Thanksgiving of 2023, Wylee began experiencing severe breathing and sleeping difficulties, initially attributed to a sinus infection. Despite numerous doctor visits and medications, his condition didn't improve. Upon returning to school in January, Wylee sought further medical attention and was diagnosed with nasal polyps. However, further investigation revealed the devastating news of his cancer diagnosis on January 19th.

Wylee has returned home to South Carolina for the remainder of his final semester to undergo treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He has already endured a series of tests and procedures, including MRIs, a PET scan, and a bone marrow biopsy, revealing a tumor in his sinuses measuring 6 x 4.3 cm, along with spots on his bones and a lower lung lobe. The spread classifies his lymphoma as Stage 4. His in-patient chemotherapy regimen began on January 27th and will continue for six days, followed by subsequent rounds every two weeks.

As Wylee and his family navigate through this challenging time, they face not only emotional strain but also significant financial burdens. To compound matters, Wylee's father, Scott, is looking for work after a summer furlough resulted in job loss, only exacerbating their financial challenges.

We are humbly asking for your support during this difficult period. Your generous contributions will help cover Wylee's medical expenses and the considerable travel costs associated with receiving treatment, as the Mayo Clinic is three hours away from their home. Additionally, funds will assist with lodging expenses, as the clinic cannot provide accommodation for Wylee's family during in-patient chemotherapy sessions.

Any excess donations beyond the required expenses will be gratefully donated to the American Cancer Society and the Mayo Clinic, supporting their vital research and patient care initiatives.

Together, let's rally around Wylee and show him that he is not alone in this fight. Your financial assistance, thoughts, prayers, and positive energy will make a meaningful difference in Wylee's journey toward healing and recovery.

If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing Wylee's story with your networks and offering your heartfelt support. Every gesture of kindness and solidarity uplifts Wylee and his family during this challenging time.

Thank you for your unwavering support and generosity.
