Hi there! My name is Tahnee, and I've created this page to support my son Wyatt Lourigan in attracting investment for his approaching Rugby League State Championships Trials in May 2023.
Wyatt is a young indigenous male who is well respected within the Mossman/ Port Douglas community. He has the chance to play for a small group of hand-picked rugby league schoolboy athletes in the Townsville Region. If he is selected from the Queensland region, he will join the state squad, which will face the elite picked side from New South Wales. This is a very remarkable, rare opportunity for him to represent his home town. The young men will compete for 4 days straight, playing 2 games each day, and the final day will include finals and presentations. Throughout this carnival there will be National Rugby League (NRL) representative scouts on the look for raw talent.
It is essential that we encourage this young and upcoming prodigy, who serves as a great role model for young males of both indigenous and non-indigenous descent. All local businesses, family members, and friends are graciously invited to contribute whatever they can, even if it's just a few dollars (it all adds up).
The donations earned will be used to cover travel costs, including fuel, accommodation for the four nights and five days, the mandatory state championship uniforms they must buy, fees and levies, and food and drink (such as Powerade and fruit for the five-day football carnival).
We appreciate any generous donations you may provide and thank you all for your time.
Superstar in the making for the NRL!
