Earlier this week, Dennis and Becca Amaral faced every parent’s worst fear, when their 3-month-old son Wyatt was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Wyatt was treated in the ICU at Boston Children’s Hospital and underwent two successful surgeries to remove the tumor. He will need to remain hospitalized for an unknown amount of time to ensure there are no complications and to allow the swelling to come down. Wyatt still has a long recovery ahead.

While we are grateful for the medical professionals and the care he is receiving, the financial burden of his ongoing treatment is overwhelming. The cost of multiple surgeries, an extended hospital stay, specialized care, and medical bills are piling up quickly, and as his family, we want to focus on his recovery and not on the worry of how his parents will cover the medical expenses.
